Meet and Read

Tom Drury will read from his Grouse County trilogy, which will be published in August 2017 by Klett-Cotta. After the reading the Author will have a discussion with Professor Crister Garrett, from the Institute of American Studies, University of Leipzig.


Concerning the denizens of a fictional county in the American Midwest, the trilogy consists of The End of Vandalism (1994), which was hailed in 2012 as “the best comic novel about democracy of the last quarter-century” (Boston Globe); Hunts in Dreams (2000), a New York Times Notable Book; and Pacific (2013), which was longlisted for the National Book Award.
